A-LEVEL STUDENT EXPERIENCED IN DAIRY AND BEEF FARMING SEEKING SUMMER EMPLOYMENT
Description
I am completing A-Levels to lead onto a Honours Degree in Agriculture through CAFRE.
I am an extremely hardworking, friendly and conscientious individual who enjoys all things related to agriculture especially when concerning livestock. I am highly self-motivated and outgoing and I feel that my work would always be of the highest quality. Ever since I was young I have had an avid interest in cattle.
I am currently studying at A-Level and a part-time role would provide me with additional knowledge and experience that will benefit me in the future where I aim to study agriculture at degree level.
I work part-time on a large beef finishing unit . I am involved in tasks such as feeding and veterinary work. I also play a significant part in record keeping and associated farm paperwork. This has allowed me to gain an in-depth knowledge into APHIS Online. Furthermore i have experience in the dairy industry on a herd of 230 cows which are milked through both a DairyMaster parlour and two Lely Robotic parlours.
Moycraig Young Farmers Club is another place where my passion lies. I have been a member here since 2009 and I regularly attend club meetings where I gain further insight into different issues. I also compete in competitions such as Beef and Sheep stock judging where I have gained 1st place in the county heats. Other competitions which I take part in include the Ulster Young Farmer Competition where I have been one of the finalists along with taking part in Arts Festival and Public Speaking.
I also have a full clean driving licence and I am a car owner.
A role with the main emphasis on working with cattle would be adventageous but all things considered.
