Bright Care is a local provider of in-home care and companionship for older people. We specialise in working with self-funding families who are looking for an alternative or top up to statutory services.
Our focus is very much on providing quality time and companionship through our unique visiting model of 2 hours or more.We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who thrive on providing fantastic care and service to our clients. People who would like to bring a smile to the faces of our elderly clients are perfect for our organisation.Successful candidates looking for weekend work will share our ethos attitude and will always be willing to go the extra mile for our elderly clients. We help our clients with a whole range of practical everyday tasks, including (but not limited to):
Friendly Companionship Grocery Shopping Helping with the laundry and linen Attending social events, clubs or church services Helping in the garden Assisting getting washed and dressed going on walks and outings together Cooking and baking together Vacuuming and dusting Going to hospital appointments together Reading the newspaper with them Helping clients fill out forms, letters and paying bills Assisting clients with medications.
Experience in caring for others is highly valued, whether in a professional or informal capacity. Maybe you are someone that has not considered working in the care sector before. Working in the care of the elderly is a rewarding and honourable position.
We provide full training, mentoring and support to all our staff and further opportunities of career development through additional training and qualifications like SVQs.
We are looking for reliable weekend workers with consistent availability. Joining Bright Care as a member of a valued team can sometimes take 2-4 weeks as we do background checks and get you ready for work. Because this work involves one to one work with clients out in the community, a driving license and a car is preferred but no essential.
