We're looking for a new Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing team!
The Running Bug is the #1 community for runners in the UK with 1 million monthly uniques, 500k registered users, 250k Facebook followers and a monthly social reach of 16 million across all social platforms also including Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram. Our sister site The Cycling Bug is similarly a growing supportive community of cyclists. Our tech team are currently rebuilding both platforms to responsive mobile in advance of launching in the US and other international markets in the Autumn 2016, so its exciting times ahead!
To help us meet the needs of our community across all digital platforms - Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, email and website - we're looking for an individual passionate about all things digital to implement best practice and accelerate the growth and engagement of our digital and social audience.
Your priorities will include
- Manage Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter social media feeds to grow traffic to the websites, likes, follows, shares, comments, conversions and engagement
- Seed and promote discussions and debate
- Manage social marketing budget to optimise spend, KPIs and conversion
- Manage relationship with our Facebook Account Manager
- Optimise SEO to drive organic and referral traffic
- Support email marketing activity including solus and email newsletters
Skills and experience required for the role:
- 1+ years experience in digital and social marketing
- Managing Facebook and Google ads
- Google Analytics, understanding data, trends and KPIs
The required candidate will also have:
- A passion for all things digital and social
- Interest in health, fitness and running
- Understanding of brands and how they use social media
- Restless curiosity and a desire to learn and grow
- Have good people skills and be a team player
