PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VOLUNTARY UNPAID ROLE
Are you motivated by supporting other people? Are you interested in developing your skills and gaining experiencing in project and volunteer management? We are looking for an intern who can commit time to the development of a peer support group for ethnic minorities in Glasgow. This group will offer our customers advice and support on their sight loss journey.
What Will You Be Doing?
Assist with a variety of admin tasks; Answering and making telephone calls; Maintain records and computer files; Create documents and input data; Meeting and greeting visitors
Research customer base
Help to source venue and arrange practical considerations e.g. catering and fees
Help develop the structure of the groups
Recruit and manage the volunteers who will support at these groups
Administrative tasks for your team
When will you be needed? 13/09/16 - 08/12/16
18 hours per week, Tues am; Tues pm; Wed am; Wed pm; Thurs am; Thurs pm
Location:
17 Gullane Street, Partick, G11 6AH.
What Skills/Experience Are Needed?
Good Communication Skills; Ability to use your own initiative; Able to prioritise tasks and be flexible; Microsoft Word, Excel and internet; Reliable, punctual and trustworthy; Willingness to work as part of a team
