Description
A genuine letter to Thomas Green Lawn Mower manufacturers of Leeds dated 1893 stating that a man had lost a sovereign in the grass behind his house and given it up for lost. As he was cutting the grass with one of Thomas Greens mower it picked it up and cut it in half ( as shown ) He wrote to the Royal Mint and they refunded its value.
The letter is torn at top right but still readable. A very interesting piece for a collector.
