Description
Hello! This is a relaxed 3 bedroom flat, which has one room available for an easy going and tidy flatmate.
The current flatmates (all professionals) are looking for a similarly quiet and tidy person for the final room as of September 1st (no party animals please!). We're located between Wimbledon station, Wimbledon Common and Wimbledon Village, all an easy 10-15 minute walk away! The flat also has a car parking space assigned, which is currently not in use. For people living inside of the M25, this is quite a luxury! We’ve also got a high speed broadband of 100mbps with Virgin Media.
Smokers are welcome, however there is a no-smoking policy in the building so all cigarettes would have to be smoked outside the main doors. However, due to the contract, we can’t accept pets. The building is quiet (mainly families and professionals) and while it’s tucked out of the way of the main centre of Wimbledon, the travel connections are definitely better than most areas!
Flat Overview:
The flat itself is comprised of the below rooms:
1 x cosy double room (furnished with bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, chest of drawers and shoe rack).
1 x toilet
2 x bathrooms (2 people per bathroom, each with shower/bath combo)
1 x living room (with Virgin TV, two comfy sofas, coffee and dining tables and a small balcony).
1 x kitchen (with washing/dryer, ample cupboard space and dishwasher).
2 x occupied double bedrooms.
Rent and bills:
The £460 rent stated for the room does not include bills, but rarely exceeds £550 with bills included. The gas/electric are paid quarterly, TV license is annual, all other bills are monthly. All flatmates are asked to chip in with the cleaning products when needed. The landlady has been able to sort out any issues we’ve had with relatively little fuss.
There is unfortunately a one-off admin fee of £240, which will have to be paid by the new occupant.
Travel Overview:
The flat has:
1.Three train stations within a 15 minute walk (Wimbledon, Wimbledon Chase and Raynes Park), and it’s only a 15 minute train journey on the Overground to Waterloo station!
2.Bus stops almost directly outside the building.
3.Two links to the London Underground ( Wimbledon (district line) and South Wimbledon (northern line).
4.Easy access to the Wimbledon-Croydon tram link using either Wimbledon station or Dundonald station (both around 10-15 minute walk away).
Wimbledon Overview:
Wimbledon is a vibrant and popular place to live, and during the Tennis season there’s plenty of chance to go celebrity spotting up at Wimbledon Village. All year around there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in the town centre, and even more available in Kingston upon Thames (just a short bus ride away!).
The town centre is literally at the end of our road, and is filled with restaurants for all tastes! There’s also Sainsburys, a mini Waitrose, Tesco and Morrisons within a 5 minute walk from the train station.
For those who enjoy a walk in the fresh air, Wimbledon Common is just a short walk up the hill, and has over 1100 acres of woodland and grassy areas.
