Bernardi’s is a recently opened 85 cover restaurant & bar which occupies a beautiful corner site in Portman Village, Marylebone. Set over two levels, the ground floor restaurant features an open kitchen and dining bar. Downstairs at Bernardi’s has been relaunched in June as The Dog House, a cocktail bar and dining room with a distinct, sophisticated, intimate look and feel, a complete contrast to the light, airy feel of the main dining room upstairs. The space doubles up as a bar and an area for private functions, so there will be lots of versatility in the job. The bar will serve up both classic and innovative Italian
cocktails, including a dedicated Negroni section, alongside a wide selection of vermouths.
Head chef Sabrina Gidda (two-time Roux Scholarship finalist) oversees the kitchen and the menu centers around light, simple yet elegant Italian cooking, with a focus on the best
seasonal produce from the UK and Italy. We prepare everything in house from scratch, make our own pasta and breads, and use only the best suppliers.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced bartender to join like-minded professionals in creating something very special. We are on the lookout for someone with excellent communication skills, who has an approachable, warm and engaging personality and the ability to work and respond well under pressure. Not only are your bar skills a must, we want someone who can interact with guests and really take pride in the bar, the menu, your own appearance and ideally have a good knowledge of Negroni’s & vermouths. We
would like someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and has a good knowledge of the London restaurant scene.
Job description:
As a bartender you will:
• Be making sure that every guest receives a personalised, unique and original experience
• Have a knowledge of wines & spirits
• Have good experience in preparing classic cocktails
• Have confidence to make off menu cocktails based on the customers requirements
• Be able to learn and adapt quickly to any situation
• Be able to learn the food, wine & bar menu
• Have a passion for Italian food
• Have a basic knowledge of Italian spirits
• Be able to interact with guests in well spoken English
• Be expected to work well under pressure in a busy environment
• Be making coffees – so previous training is a plus!
